TCS declares ₹12 per share second interim dividend, record date 14 October; Q2 profit up 15% to ₹13,884 crore

Shareholders on TCS's register on 14 October 2026 are eligible for a second interim dividend of ₹12 per share. Q2 FY27 consolidated net profit rose about 15% to ₹13,884 crore.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said its board has declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share for FY27 (the financial year April 2026 to March 2027). Shareholders whose names are on the company’s register, or listed as beneficial owners with the depositories, on the record date of 14 October 2026 are eligible.

An interim dividend is a payout the board declares during the year, before the final dividend that shareholders vote on after the year ends. The record date is the day on which the company checks its register to decide who gets the payout.

Q2 FY27 results

On 8 October 2026 TCS also reported results for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27). Consolidated means the figures include the parent and its subsidiaries.

Metric Q2 FY27 Q2 FY26 Change
Consolidated net profit ₹13,884 Cr ₹12,075 Cr +15.0%
Revenue from operations ₹73,188 Cr ₹65,799 Cr +11.2%

Revenue rose 1.3% from the previous quarter (Q1 FY27, ₹72,275 crore). The reports also put the total contract value of deals signed in the quarter at US$9.6 billion.

AI revenue

The reports put TCS’s annualised AI-led revenue at US$3.1 billion, more than 10% of revenue. Annualised means a quarter’s figure scaled up to a full year. Sahi’s report says the figure was US$2.6 billion in Q1 FY27.

Basis of these figures

The primary source (the TCS results release and the exchange filing) could not be opened when this article was prepared, so every figure is attributed to the Upstox and Sahi reports of 8 October 2026. The figures are consolidated. The reports call ₹13,884 crore “net profit” and do not say whether it is profit attributable to owners of the company or total profit including minority interest, so the +15.0% change is the reports’ comparison and its like-for-like basis is not confirmed. Amounts are in ₹ crore (1 crore = 10 million) unless marked US$.
