DMart's parent Avenue Supermarts reports Q2 profit of ₹743 crore, up 8.5%, on revenue of ₹19,644 crore
Avenue Supermarts, which runs DMart stores, reported consolidated net profit of ₹742.98 crore for July to September 2026, against ₹684.85 crore a year earlier, on revenue of ₹19,644 crore.
Avenue Supermarts, the company that runs the DMart chain of supermarkets, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹742.98 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 of the financial year 2026-27, called FY27). In the same quarter a year earlier it was ₹684.85 crore, a rise of 8.5%. Revenue from operations (the money from selling goods, before costs) was ₹19,644.01 crore, against ₹16,676.30 crore, a rise of 17.8% by our arithmetic. Net profit is what remains after all costs and tax. “Consolidated” means the figures include the company and its subsidiaries.
Why two profit figures appear in the news
Reports carry two different profit numbers for the same quarter because they describe different sets of accounts:
- Consolidated (company plus subsidiaries): net profit ₹742.98 crore, up 8.5%. This is the figure in the headline above.
- Standalone (the parent company alone): net profit ₹804 crore, up 7.6%, according to TaxGuru’s report of the company’s release.
The two are not an error or a disagreement; the consolidated number is lower than the standalone one in this quarter. Headlines quoting “₹804 crore” refer to standalone results.

Basis of these figures
The primary source (the company’s results filing on BSE and NSE, or its press release) could not be opened when this article was prepared, so each figure is attributed to the report named. Consolidated figures are from Whalesbook (published 10 October 2026); standalone figures, store count and half-year figures are from TaxGuru’s report of the company’s 10 October 2026 release. The rises of 8.5% and 17.8% are computed from the two consolidated amounts; 8.5% matches the NewsBytes headline. No standalone figure for the year-earlier quarter is stated in the reports used here. Amounts are in ₹ crore (1 crore = 10 million).
