Key terms
- Net profit is the profit left after all expenses, provisions and tax. Standalone means the bank’s own accounts, without subsidiaries; consolidated adds the subsidiaries.
- Gross NPA (non-performing asset) is a loan on which the borrower has stopped paying on time. The gross NPA ratio is those loans as a share of all loans. Net NPA is the same after subtracting the money the bank has set aside against them.
- Net interest income (NII) is the interest a bank earns on loans minus the interest it pays on deposits and other borrowings.
Q2 FY27 figures
| Metric | Q2 FY27 | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone net profit (₹ crore) | 1,045 | +196.5% year on year (from 352) |
| Net interest income (₹ crore) | 6,184 | about +21% year on year |
| Gross NPA ratio | 1.32% | down from 1.86% a year earlier and 1.51% on 30 June 2026 |
| Net NPA ratio | 0.40% | down from 0.52% a year earlier and 0.44% on 30 June 2026 |

| Total loan assets (₹ crore) | 3,46,913 | about +30% year on year |
Year on year means compared with the same quarter a year earlier, July to September 2025. The 196.5% rise checks by arithmetic (₹1,045 crore against ₹352 crore). Standalone profit in the previous quarter (April to June 2026) was ₹1,075 crore, so the Q2 figure is 2.8% lower quarter on quarter, and profit was above ₹1,000 crore in both of the first two quarters of the year. Total loan assets of ₹3,46,913 crore are loans and advances of ₹3,38,929 crore plus credit substitutes (investments in debt instruments such as debentures that work like loans) of ₹7,984 crore; they include ₹24,885 crore of loans backed by FCNR(B) deposits, which are foreign-currency fixed deposits from non-resident Indians. Provisions, the money set aside for possible loan losses, were ₹1,137 crore, down 21.7% from a year earlier.
Basis of these figures
These figures are from the bank’s Q2 FY27 investor presentation dated 24 October 2026, and are standalone unless stated. The bank’s exchange filing itself could not be opened. The net interest income figure (₹6,184 crore) is shown in the presentation as up 21.0% year on year. The deposit growth of 25.9% is the figure given in news reports of the bank’s release; the presentation rounds it to 26%. Some news reports describe the 196.5% rise as consolidated profit, but it matches standalone profit, which is used here.
